Becoming an online entrepreneur begins in your mind.

Not with a website.

Not with an autoresponder.

It begins in your head. That’s why I recommended those two books yesterday. (Ready, Fire, Aim and Awaken the Entrepreneur Within.)

Entrepreneurs think and process differently than the mass population.

The masses want to make cash online. Believe its overnight. And think they have a right to it. Then get upset when it does not happen immediately.

Entrepreneurs want to build businesses. They know it will take time. They know work is involved. The results are their own.

The masses want to sell an ebook (and think that’s all they will ever needed to do). The entrepreneur wants to create an empire.

As you can tell, there is different processing happening between these very opposite groups.

Why?

Because one group has been trained as an employee. The other as the owner.

One group is used to being TOLD what to do (employee).

While the other is used to DECIDING what to do (owner).

How do you break away from the pack and start deciding for yourself what your business will be and how it will operate?

04 :: Credibility

In under a year Carrie has built a solid online reputation. Her credibility in her circle is super strong. How did she and how can we?

1) Build a body of work.

When you produce predictable solid content others talk about you – in a good way. But don’t produce ONE thing (that’s the beginning), mass produce.

That was the main reason for putting 360 together earlier this month. So you could release a new product every 14 days and build a huge body of work.

2) Build critical relationships.

In the past year Carrie’s become friends with many top shelf marketers. (Tomorrow I’ll share some of the best ways to do that.)

Top-level associations build your credibility. Who can you connect with (C3) in a way that is mutually beneficial?

3) Build a following.

The more people you have on Facebook, twitter, subscriber lists, etc.; the more others will want to know you. Do not underestimate the power of social proof at all levels.

4) Build visibility.

Write articles, speak at events, go big on YouTube.com. In other words, be everywhere.

Where are the eyes and ears of your market? Be there.

First, special thanks to Stephen Beck for hosting us for last night’s Webinar. He shared some strong ideas that, if implemented, could produce raging profits. Especially the PowerPoint idea coupled with the $1.75 production company!

Second, tomorrow I join the ranks of the “launch club.”

Think for a second. What was the last mega-launch you saw me promote? When have I been on board with the crowd? When have I promoted what everyone else was promoting?

Exactly.

But tomorrow I will.

Third, At the Underground Seminar Carrie said, “This time last year I knew 3 people in the room.” Then she asked them to stand. Then she asked for her Mastermind group to stand. Then those who had bought a product from her. Then those who were part of her circle in any form.

Over half the room was standing!

02 :: Connection

I’ll be the first to admit that Carrie has a special gift for connecting people.

First, she’s a great networker. She meets, greets and quickly learns about people because she is genuinely interested.

Second, Carrie cross-works. When she knows two people that should work together, but they do not know each other, she makes the introduction.

Carrie multi-connects. She is not concerned just about what a person can do for HER. She concentrates on ALL facets of a relationship.

That’s key.

Too many people are trying to build one sided connections. In other words, “What can you do for ME.”

Instead we should focus on connections that are mutually valuable to ALL.

Success is NOT an Accident!!!

Help your people feel that they belong to something different or special. (Because they DO! Or at least they should.)

They are not “your list.” Each person has a story. A struggle. A hurdle. A hope. A dream. A goal.

Each individual that enters your circle has experienced victory and defeat. They’ve marched to the peak and have fallen to the valley. We all have.

Too often we want to make a sale instead of making a difference.

Making sales creates customers.

Making a difference creates a community.

Think about that today.

Yanik Silver’s Underground Online Seminar 005 wrapped up yesterday. It was great to meet Nicheology members Carol, Stacey, Sheerish and others. Super great folks!!

UG5 concluded with a visit from George Lazenby who played James Bond in “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.”

George told stories about being selected for the film even though he had never been in front of a movie camera. Plus stories of mishaps on the set because of his lack of experience.

He also announced the $10,000 winner of Yanik’s Underground Internet Marketer of the Year.

Carrie and her husband are close personal friends and I was thrilled to see her win. Now listen to this… Listen real close…

Last year at Underground she was in the audience and had only been online a few months. She knew just 3 people at the event and this year over half the audience knew who she was when she got there.

In twelve short months Carrie moved from a complete unknown to seven figures in her businesses. All while working from home and being mom to FOUR CHILDREN! And being a great wife to “Mr. B.”

How does this help YOU?

Because a spirit of caring and giving plays a HUGE part in success.

Yes, you need to make a living. You have bills to pay. But select your charity NOW. Ink your non-profit. How much would you LOVE to be able to give them? What impact will your giving make?

Deciding on your charity stretches your vision. Almost every online entrepreneur I know imagines THEIR income. They think about how much they need to quit their job. They concentrate on a house, or car or vacation.

Let me ask you this…

How much more will you make if your financial goal includes giving a % away?

Don’t just write the amount you want to receive. Write down the amount you want to give!

Long before Carrie got invited to UG5 as a speaker she told me, “Paul, I want to speak at UG. And WHEN I do I want to WIN. And WHEN I win the $10K is going to 100X.”
